NEET Grows
Horticulture remains at the heart of NEET. What began with our founders transforming a neglected allotment into a thriving vegetable patch has grown into the horticultural enterprise you see today.
NEET retail shop selling plants, hanging baskets and homegrown vegetable plants.
As a working garden nursery, we:
Follow a structured growing programme including seed sowing, bulb growing and plant maintenance.
Run an enterprising retail shop selling plants and vegetables grown on site.
Support pollinators and wildlife with a dedicated pollinator garden and pond.
Choose plants/produce for our gardens that provide food and shelter for bees, butterflies and other insects.
Design and build bug hotels, bee/bird houses and bat boxes using recycled materials.
Explore and test methods to minimise use of peat-based compost.
Practice traditional countryside crafts including hedge laying and dry-stone walling.
